Six Month
Distance Training Program
Ongoing training and support is a major component of a successful home-based program. For families with well-established programs, we provide six months of distance education, curriculum design, coaching and support. All training is done from your home by means of video, telephone and on-line instruction.
The Six-Month Distance Training Program Includes
- Detailed evaluation: Using video and written evaluate materials,
we assess your child's current social, linguistic, cognitive, motor
and self-help abilities. We use this detailed information to suggest
a program design tailored to your child.
- Written curriculum design/ individual education plan. This
written plan will include specific methods, resources and activities
to use at home. It will enable you to set appropriate goals and priorities,
and to track your child's progress. Parents can request a focus on a
certain domain, such as language development. We help you revise and
update your curriculum throughout the program. These written plans have
been helpful to parents seeking funding from education authorities or
other sources.
- Two telephone coaching sessions per month. Designed to improve
your effectiveness in teaching your child, to supervise your child's
progress in the program and make changes as necessary, to assist you
in resolve areas of concern and to support you in remaining empowered,
inspired and clear.
- On-line support and instruction through our private Internet Discussion Forum. We respond to all posted questions three times per week. You'll also benefit from the experience of other parents.
The Six-month Distance Training Program can be renewed for additional six-month increments.
